Summer Maid Café Event

Hello!

Today I visited the summer Maid event at the Sphere Bay Café. I went there with Nyanko and Ami. In the train we also met Riina who usually works as a Maid in the Maid Café, but today she went there only as a guest. But my other friend Jinli is a new Maid and she was very happy when we visited her :)

I didn't took to many pictures because it was quite the same like the last event in may. You can read my old blogpost here: *click*

I honestly wanted to go there mainly because I can drink Bubble Tea again and eat a delicious Matcha cupcake. And also to meet my lovely friends ^_^

BUT unfortunately, they didn't had any Matcha cupcakes thad day and the Bubble Tea also tasted not as good as last time... I think they forgot to include the flavor so I only got cold tea with milk. But I could drink half of the Bubble Tea of my friend Ami which tasted better, so it was ok xD

Since I couldn't have a Matcha cupcake, I ordered Matcha icecream. It was yummy but it didn't had a strong flavour of Matcha... it tasted more like vanilla ice cream with a bit Matcha powder. Sorry that I complain so much, I just wanted my cupcake xDDD

Here is a group picture with Ami, Nyanko, me and Jinli:

Do you think that our outfits look crazy? Because when we walked through the city (without our maid Jinli) we got asked several times what we are wearing and people looked strange at us. I think we wore really normal and boring outfits Ô_o. People get more and more ridiculous these days...

I also took a random picture of some pictures xD Since this café is an art café, there are papers and pens on every table and you can draw something if you want. And if your picture is pretty enough, they hang it up on the wall ^_~

Then we went shopping, but of course I bought nothing at normal shops but spend a lot at the japanese supermarket xD. But today I realized that this supermarket is much cheaper then my asian supermarket in Cologne, so I had to grab more stuff!
I also bought some Sushi at the japanese supermarket for the first time, it was quite cheap and it tasted delicious! So if you want to grab some Sushi, try it there!

At the end of the day, we went to drink some Cream Soda. I think I never took a picture of it so here it is:

It was a nice day but I think I ate too much sugar today xD

Kind regards,
Miuko~ <3

Animagic 2014

The Rothenburg posts will follow later because I have to write so much and wait more pictures. So today I will write about the Animagic which I visited yesterday (Saturday).

Since I started with Lolita, I always helped out at the Animagic Dunkelsuess-booth as staff. But this year I didn't wanted to do it, because it's always nearly 30°C and the booth is outside in a tent, and sitting 3 days in a hot tent from early morning till evening while wearing Lolita is very exhausting. And because I went to Paris 3 weeks before and to Rothenburg 1 week before, I thought it was too much. And it was the right decision, because this year I only came for 1 day and it was sooo exhausting, I really couldn't have done 3 days.

It was a really spontaneous decision. First I didn't wanted to come at all, but then I heard that many Lolitas and friends would come on Saturday, and the Animagic is in my hometown (only 10 minutes away from my apartment), so I decided to go. I was really happy to meet my friends again! I didn't saw many of them for a longer time. But like always at conventions you don't have much time to talk with all people. I hope we can meet again soon in a more relaxed occasion.

First, I visited the Dunkelsuess booth. This time it was waaay bigger and they had waaay more stuff! And they had a 'professional' tent with wooden floor. The last years it was more a garden tent and we had to stand on the grass. Because of the collaboration with Lorina Liddel, Dunkelsuess could offer A LOT of Lolita dresses, and my friends told me, that the dresses sold very well. Most customers were new Lolitas, because those girls maybe saw the fashion online before, but it is always a difference when you can actually see and touch the dresses in real life, and can try them on to see if Lolita fashion really suits you.

And the prices were also really good! Lorina Liddel is a reseller for japanese fashion brands, but they only sell smaller and more unkown fashion brands, which have lower prices! Most dresses from these brands cost around 100-200€, while dresses from AP or Btssb for example cost 250-350€.

The hangers from Lorina Liddel were awesome:

Then it was time for the fashion show. The japanese singer "Luna Haruna" also participated as a model. She was one of the special guests of the Animagic and since she also wears Lolita, she took part in the fashion show. But honestly I have never heard of her before, does anyone of you know her??? (I honestly don't think she is that famous ^^')

I searched for some pictures of Luna Haruna:

This year, the fashion show was all about Lorina Liddel. All models only wore items from Lorina Liddel, not their own outfits, and some of the items were sample items from the japanese brands! That means those items were not officially released yet and we were one of the first people who could see those items!
Also some of the models were new Lolitas or never participated in a fashion show before. But you really couldn't see it, all of the girls looked amazing and did a good job!

I only have one group picture of the models, but I suggest you to follow Dunkelsuess on Facebook to see more pictures and videos of the Fashion show, they will be uploaded in 1-2 weeks I think.

Funnily, many of the models liked their own outfits so much that they bought it after the fashion show xD.

After this I met with Riina (again xD) and we went inside the building of the Animagic. I actually met Riina directly when I came in the morning and we talked a lot the whole day ^_^. They had several photo opportunities so we used them all. But we didn't stayed too long inside because it was freakin' hot inside and they had no air conditioner X_x.

After this I went home. When I came home I was sooo exhausted even if I only stayed there for 6-7 hours. But it was very hot and I had rarely sat down the whole time, so my legs were also really tired. But it was still worth it :)

Dokomi Convention

Hello my dear readers!
Last weekend I was at the Dokomi Convention, so here is my event report!

~*~ SATURDAY ~*~

On Saturday I woke up around 8am but I was really fast so I could catch the train at 9am. I was 1 hour earlier ready then planned, can you believe it??? (Usually I always oversleep because I'm too lazy to get up early xD).

So when we arrived at the convention really early, we directly went to the fashion stalls for shopping, because I wanted some items before they were sold out. This year, there were twice as many stalls as last year! And there were also more Lolita-themed stalls: "Ergi by Piratessan", "Harajuku Maiden" and the Dunkelsuess-booth with stuff from "Lorina Liddell". And a looooot of stalls with sweets jewellery.

I got the items I wanted: hairclip and ring from Chocomint. The hair clip was sold out in all colors at the end of the convention!

After shopping we went to the Maid Café. We were one of the first people who could get in, so we didn't had to wait long (many people who came later had to wait 2 hours O_O).
This year it wasn't allowed to take pictures of the Maids or the Café, because they wanted to make it like the authentic Cafés in Japan: you can only take a picture of your food and you have to pay if you want a picture with a Maid. But honestly the Café was nothing like Japan, there was no stage programm, no games and no Moe Moe from our Maid ~_~ But I guess our Maid was just stressed or something ~_~

So here is the picture of my food xD I ordered a strawberry milk and a melon pan:

In the afternoon I participated in the Lolita fashion show like always. This time our fashion show had a theme: "Fairytales". And this time, all models did a really good choreography, because we didn't wanted to do the typical boring poses like you usually can see.

Here is a video of the fashion show (I'm the third-last person):

Here are the outfits of me and my friend Evangeline:
This picture was taken at the "Nikon" photobooth, so it looks a bit weird

Can you guess which fairytales we were? Okay it's really hard, I was "Brother and Sister", and Evangeline was "Sinbad the Sailor".

For the fashion show I decorated an old book, and many of my friends told me that the Lolita on the cover looks like me, because the hair style is my signature. I'm happy that I have a signature :D (especially because my old signature was my horrible blonde wig >__<''').
I didn't really thought about it when I drew the Lolita, I just drew something which came to my mind, but I guess unconsciously I drew myself!

Okay the violet Lolita looks horrible, I will color it better I swear ^_^'''

After the fashion show we just strolled around the convention and looked at the stalls again (and again and again xD), and then went home in the evening.

~*~ SUNDAY ~*~

On Sunday I haven't done much, I strolled again around the convention and explored some areas I didn't saw on Saturday (for example I completely oversaw that there was a huge artist alley xD). I also met a very nice reader of my blog, Hello again!!! \(*^▽^*)/ (It was Sunday right? I'm not sure anymore >_<).

Here is my outfit, I didn't wanted to wear Lolita because of the hot weather:

Later I went to watch the "Charakter-Versteigerung" .... hmm in english it would be "Character auction"?! You could bid on people in Cosplays, and if you won, you could spend 2 hours with them at the convention. The money then was donated for a social project in Germany. This year some people bid really high amounts... the Maids from the Maid Café are always really popular, and this year someone bid 850€ for them!! And also, the less clothes a girl wore, the higher was the bidding xD. But of course everything was just for fun, don't think something wrong about this ^_^

If you want to see some parts of the character auction, take a look here:

I also met cutiepie Riina, she was working at the Maid Café and we drove together with the elevator xD (yeah you don't have to understand why this is funny xD)

I don't have more pictures, but if you want an impression of the Dokomi, you can watch this video from another Lolita:

All in all the Dokomi this year was great, I don't know why, I think 1.) because it was a lot bigger so we didn't get bored, and 2.) the air conditioner was really good, so it wasn't too hot inside (on Sunday it even was too cold for me in some areas O_O).

Harajuku Maiden Tea Party

So last week I was at the "Harajuku Maiden" Tea Party which was organized by Kuma. It's a small german Lolita indie label. She did a break with her label for around 2 years I think, but she wanted to get full into business again and started it with a Tea Party.

12 people wanted to come but only 5 showed up. I think it's unbelievable rude if you don't show up and don't even bother to write a message. I hate this so much but it's a huge problem with the Lolitas in my area (since I organize a lot of Lolita meet-ups I know what I'm talking about ~_~).

First we went to the old city hall to take pictures. It's a pretty building, but there were too many people so we couldn't really use it as a background. Also it was very windy so please excuse the horrible pictures ^^'''

I was too lazy for a special outfit but I own a white collar from Harajuku Maiden, so I wore it (I own it since 3 years but I think I have never worn it before ^^''').

Here you can see more of the pretty building

My friend Evangeline wore a skirt and a hadbow from Harajuku Maiden.

And this is Kuma, the owner of Harajuku Maiden. Her complete outfit is from her brand of course!

After this we went to a very cute Cupcake Café. This wasn't planned, but I saw the café at another Lolita blog and Kuma wanted to show me where it is, and then I wanted to buy a Cupcake just to test it (because I want to find out which café has the best cupcakes!). But then Kuma suggested that we all sit down and have a cupcake, so we did xD

Evangeline and I ordered an Oreo cupcake, and Kuma ordered a strawberry-chocolate cupcake

More pictures of the café (these are not mine, I found them on Google because mine turned out blurry):

The cupcakes were delicious, I can recommend them. Also this café looks very pretty, so if you are in Aachen you should definitly visit it! Website of the café: http://www.cuperella.de/

After this we went to Kuma's home for the actual Tea Party. Kuma prepared some cakes and fruits for us.

Look at the pretty porcelain!

At the end of the party she showed us her newest creations!

Here you can also see the other guests

Mirror picture xD Evangeline tried on a headdress

Kuma had a lot more stuff but I had to leave early, so I couldn't take more pictures. But you can see all items from Kuma at the Dokomi convention next weekend, she will also sell many blouses, skirts, petticoats and other clothes! Make sure you stop by if you visit the Dokomi :)

If you are interested in her items, take a look here:

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Concert

One week ago, the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu concert took place in Cologne!! I already saw Kyary at the Japan Expo 2012 and I enjoyed it very much, so I was happy to hear that she would also come to Germany. And I was even more happy when I heard that the concert was in a venue only 15 minutes away from my apartment :D

Before the concert we had a little meet-up in a fairly new Cupcake Café called "Le PomPom" (doesn't the name fit perfectly to Kyary? xD). The Café itself looks amazing, it's the perfect location for Lolitas! The cupcakes were okay, not bad, but also nothing special.

I ordered a Matcha Cupcake but it tasted just like cream cheese with sugar...

A bit of the beautiful interior

Then we also wanted to take outfit pictures and the owner of the Café gave us a cupcake as a gift so we could take pictures with it ^-^ The owner also took pictures with her own camera but she didn't uploaded them yet (she wanted it for her Facebook-Page).

My outfit... I know my hair looks very childish, but for Kyary it is okay to look childish xD

Our whole group

After the Café we went to a restaurant to eat pizza. But I don't have a picture of it because I'm pretty sure you don't want to see me eating pizza xD But we took a picture of our Mameshipamyupamyu plushes:

In case you don't know it, it's a bean xD

Then we went to the venue. We arrived 1 hour before we could enter, and there was already a large queue. Some of my friends arrived even 5 hours before the event started! But I think it was not nessecary to come so early because the venue wasn't that full when we entered.

I wanted to buy some merchandise but they only had boring T-Shirts and Hoodies. A few days before was the concert in Paris and my friends told me that they had more merchandise there, but it somehow didn't came to Germany?! But you could take pictures with a bunny called "Pamyurin". They also took Instax-pictures with the camera. I think it was a great idea, because that way you have a nice memory from the concert :)

The Instax picture

Finally we went to the hall with the stage. The hall was smaller then I expected, and there were only around 350-400 guests ('only' because the other concerts in Europe had way more people).

Mameshiba photo bomb xD In the background you can see the stage, it had a huge bear as decoration!

The concert started and it was a lot of fun! I was especially amazed by the dancers, they were so good!! Kyary was singing playback but it wasn't a problem for me, she was very cute and had great outfits. She changed her outfit 3 times!

I don't have more pictures of the concert but I guess you can find them everywhere online anyway xD

Now I saw nearly all japanese singers I like (Kanon Wakeshima, Nana Kitade and Kyary). The only one missing is Mana! But I guess he will never come to Germany and if he come, the tickets would cost something like 100€... but one can dream... (I don't even like his music I just want to see him because he is a Lolita idol xD).

Miuko~ <3
