POINTS CHART

1-15 points: Curious Onlooker
It means you're familiar with the fashion and have taken an interest in all things frilly and Lolita. You've probably attended a few open events, maybe own a few pieces of Lolita, lurk the online communities, and you definitely are on your way to knowing your stuff! Your next step is probably buying the final piece for your first full outfit and finally headed to your first meetup!

16-40 points: Just starting out
It means you're just starting out in the world of Lolita. You may have been interested in the fashion for a few years but are just now getting involved in wearing the fashion on a regular basis and joining local communities. You probably have a couple full outfits but are still working on building a larger wardrobe. Alternatively, you have a larger wardrobe and definitely know your stuff, but you aren't very active in local or online Lolita communities and are perhaps more of a lone Lolita. Your next step is probably either finishing up adding a few more pieces to your wardrobe or to starting getting to know some other Lolitas.

41-60 points: Well-rounded Lolita
It means you're probably a very well-rounded Lolita. You have a fair sized wardrobe that allows a variety of outfits and some style experimentation, you have a few Lolita friends, and you've attended your fair share of meetups and even fashion shows. You probably have a few volumes of the Gothic & Lolita Bible hanging around your bookshelf and you've definitely taken an interest in Lolita hobbies. Your next step is probably to step out of your comfort bubble, try a new style you've always wanted to try, host your own meetups, or perhaps finally apply to be a model for a local Lolita fashion show.

61-80 points: Experienced Lolita
It is the realm of an experienced Lolita! You've probably been active in the fashion for a number of years, have a fairly large and diverse wardrobe, and have attended (and hosted!) your fair share of Lolita events. You're most likely well-known within your local, and online, communities. You're probably practically an expert on the fashion and have probably introduced, or at least guided, a few friends along the right path in the fashion. Your next step is most likely to do a closet cleaning or some wardrobe organization because you probably have a few years of accumulated clothes.

81-100 points: Top of your game
You are at the top of the Lolita game. You've definitely been active in the fashion for a number of years, or possibly you've had a very intense first few years. You've gone out there and had the chance to do some pretty cool things that you always dreamed of doing back when you first got started as a Lolita. There's a good chance you're a leader in both your local Lolita communities and the online Lolita-sphere. Your next step is probably to kick a few more things off your Lolita bucket list!

101+ points: Lolita royalty
You are within the ream of Lolita royalty. You probably have enough clothes to dress your own personal rufflebutt army, which you could very well easily raise with a wave of your very expensive burando scepter! You're well known by Lolitas both near and far, who are most likely green with envy at what you have in your closet, who you've met, and what you've had the chance to do. There are probably still a few items left on your Lolita bucket list that have been haunting you for a while now because you thought they've always been out of your reach for one reason or another (perhaps it's that long-distance shopping vacation, to complete your dream dress list, or to finally host the tea party of your dreams), but look how far you've come yet! Whatever it is you want to do, you can probably achieve it easily, or at the very least, you definitely have the patience within the fashion to stick with it for a while and work on getting it done.

Closet Confidential Meme

Hello!

It's time again for a little meme which I found on egl. You answer 7 questions about your closet. I found it really interesting to read all the answers so here are mine.

1. What is the oldest item in your wardrobe/closet?
I think the first Item I bought for Lolita were these socks, after someone posted them in the german online community. I think I bought them late 2008/early 2009, because at that time I was looking in normal stores for Lolita stuff (back then I thought you could buy suitable items in normal stores) and someone wrote that you can buy them at a german store and that they are Lolita, so I bought them xD. This was seriously the only reason because I was never into the Gothic style so I never really could use them for Lolita xD. But I combined them with my black Zara dress for some causal/inspired coords.

Old picture from 2011 and it wasn't meant as a real Lolita outfit, so please don't think it's Ita xD

2. What is the newest item?
My Sugar Pansy JSK in mint! I bought it last month and I didn't bought anything else for my closet since then, not even jewellery or other small stuff.

3. What is the most expensive item?
My Day Dream Carnival OP which cost 29.190 Yen. It was the first time that I bought a dress new from the store, but honestly I think it's too much money for one item althought I understand why brand dresses cost so much. But I still prefer to buy second hand :)

4. What is the cheapest/most affordable item?
My cheapest brand item are my wrist cuffs from AP which I bought for 12€ at egl_comm_sales.

5. What was the biggest bargain?
My biggest bargain was my Dress Change JSK which I bought for 70€ on mbok. It's SUPER detailed, you can't see its whole beauty unless you see it irl, but check out lolibrary if you want to see more: *click*

6. What was the biggest waste of money?!
My biggest waste was my Pony Angel Replica. I bought it for the same price you can get the original AP dress second hand, and of course when I sold my replica, I didn't even got half of the money back. (But back then I thought that the original dress had a second hand value of 400€ + so I thought that the price I paid was pretty reasonable xD).
I love this print but I didn't loved the replica of it, because it didn't looked good. So I sold it and whenever I find the original one, I will buy it!!

7. What are your three favorite items right now?
My Dress Change JSK, my Lady Rose OP and my Rose Last Note hat.

Do you like this meme? If you did it too please tell me in the comments :)

Thank you for reading,
Miuko~ <3

100 Lolita Questionaire: 91 - 100

The last post of this very long questionnaire :)

91. "One day I will go on a date with that person." What would you like to wear for him?
I would wear something fancy and pretty :) But I definitly wouldn't wear Lolita, except this person wants me to wear it.

92. If you want one, what type of store would you open in the future?
Oh yes, it is a little dream of mine: I would like to open a store for asian fashion. I would sell mainly cute clothes you can wear every day but also some Lolita, Hime and Gyaru brands (but I heard japanese brands are not very interested in the international market -.-). I would also offer some space for indie brands and their handmade items.
In the front of my shop would be a small cafe where I sell my homemade cake and serve high tea. And in the evening I would make more space in the store for the cafe, and I then would invite musicians to give little concerts there.
Of course the whole store would be pink, just like an Angelic Pretty shop (of course I would sell Angelic Pretty ^_^).

Btw here is an awesome inspiration blog for a nice cafe => The Sweet Otaku

93. Something catches your eye. What is this motif?
It would be a rose print or a very cute print, in pink and golden with glitter :D

94. Would you dress your child in lolita?
Yes! Of course not everyday because children need comfortable clothing where you don't mind that it get dirty or destroyed, but wouldn't it be nice to twin with your little girl? :)

95. How much do you spend on one outfit?
Many Lolitas buy their dresses in sets, so when they buy a dress, they always also get the matching headbow, socks, jewellery... some even buy new shoes to each dress O_o But I don't do this, or better I can't do it, because all the dresses I own are kinda old and when you buy 2nd hand, it is even harder to fnd the matching accessoires. But when I use all my most expensive items, the outfit would cost around 500-600€. My cheapest outfit cost around 100€ :)

96. "This is lolita!!" Please say what you would say this about.

97. "I have always wanted to try that once!" What, in the lolita world, have you wanted to try wearing?
Aristokrat, I want to know how it looks on me, but otherwise Aristokrat and Gothic Lolita are just too dark, somber and uncute for me.

98. Look at yourself in lolita. In one word/phrase, how would you express your style/image?
pink sparkling pony princess?? xD

99. What is your lolita ideal?
When you look like a perfect porcellain princess doll!

100. Thank you for taking this baton!! Tell us what you think!
I liked most of the questions, it was very interesting and fun to answer :)

100 Lolita Questionaire: 81 - 90

~*~ This post is very picture-heavy so I made the pictures small, but just click on them to have a bigger view! ~*~

81. How do you dress normally?
I kinda like business style clothing but also very cute outfits. It usually depends on the weather and how early I have to get up in the morning xD But I usually wear a cute bag, I often use also my Lolita bags :)
Here are some examples:

82. Do you think twice about buying second-hand clothes?
When it comes to Lolita, I have to buy 2nd hand even if I don't like it, because if I would buy everything new it would be just too expensive for me. But I always ask the seller twice if the item is really in good condition, because I would never buy dirty or destroyed clothes. I also don't buy socks 2nd hand because it's a bit disgusting >_< Okay I recently made one exception with my Little Bears Cafe socks, because these socks are the only ones who really match the dress and I just couldn't find them unworned... but I think I will soak them in disinfectant before I use them xDD

83. Do you have a boyfriend? (or husband?) Does he understand lolita?
Not at the moment but he better should understand it, otherwise it would be hard to live with me ;)

84. Please tell us about your ideal man.
Okay there are many things how an ideal man should be, but when it comes to fashion, he should care about it and have his own style. And of course he should like very girly clothes on women, because I wouldn't wear boring clothes just because of him. Btw I adore men in suits xD

85. Who inspires your Lolita style?

~ Nana Kitade
I really love her old style, when she used to be a model for Btssb. I think she has the most perfect Casual Punk Lolita style I've ever seen!
I  would love to have this Charmy Kitty outfit but the clothes are very small X_x

~ Koakuma
I think she looks perfect in every damn outfit and I really wish to achieve a style like hers! A friend and I even analized all her outfits, because we wanted to know what she does to look so stunning... okay that sounds creepy xD

~ Chuchu-mana
She wears often OTT-outfits with a lot of make up, but she can pull it of so perfectly! She looks so different in every outfit!

~ Princess Peachie
I like her because she has inspiring outfit ideas like Bride Lolita or Shoujo Maiden :)

~ Sweet Curl / Ophelia_Immortal / Niniru
They are three friends (I know them xD) but anyway I love their style because they always look so princessly! And they do twinning A LOT :D

~ Ami
I also adore the style of my friend Ami because she always looks so princessly, even with My little Pony on her head! xD

86. Have you made your own clothes? What are they like?
No because I can't sew :( To be honest I also don't want to sew my own dresses because I don't have any ideas. But I would like to be able to sew so I can make pretty accessoires for my outfits or to fix my clothes (e.g. shorten a skirt)

87. Have you made your own accessories? What did you make?
Yes, I made some bows and jewellery, nothing special but here are some examples:

88. Think about the best item you have made! What is it?
Maybe the Strawberry bracelet you can see in the picture above? xD

89. Please tell us about the most perfect lolita coordination you wear.
I love my coordination which I wore at the Angelic Pretty Tea Party this summer! I think it's the most perfect one I`ve ever worn, but I couldn't do it without the help of my friend Evangeline! Because she sewed a matching headbow for my dress and also lend me her blouse and socks <3

90. Who is your favourite Lolita artist?
I don't know many artists but I still adore some:

~ Imai Kira
I think she is the most famous Lolita artist and I adore her drawings! She also draws all the pictures from the Angelic Pretty prints <3

~ Sakizo
It's not really Lolita but her artworks are very inspiring and beautiful!

Future Posts + 100 Lolita Questionaire: 71 - 80

Hello!

I'm doing this questionnaire now for several months and I think I want to end it soon, so this week or maybe next week I want to finish it. I don't know if it is interesting for you to read but for me it makes much fun to write, so I will answer all questions ^^
Please be patient, because after this I'm opening my GIVEAWAY! Yes I told you about my giveaway some weeks... or months??... ago, but I wanted to have nice items for my giveaway, and yes it took me that long to search for something nice.
Then in february and march I will have more time to continue my "Different styles of Sweet"-series and maybe other intersting posts :)

So now to the next part of the questionnaire!

71. What age should you stop wearing lolita?
At the age you feel uncomfortable wearing it. And I think you should wear clothes which suit you. I definitly agree that one should wear what she/he wants, but I also think that you should have a bit of fashion sense when you are wearing Lolita, because especially Lolita is known for its sometimes almost insane perfection.

72. When do you think you should graduate from lolita? And why?
Isn't it the same question like the one before? xD
But I will say something about my style. At the beginning I really loved the childish outfits, but in the last weeks/months I felt a bit uncomfortable to wear my very childish outfits, so now I try to find dresses which looks more feminin and 'grown up'. I still love Sweet Lolita but I want to concentrate on dresses with flower pattern. I even have a new dress with a rose print in the mail, but I will tell you more about it when it arrives :)

73. "You should stop doing that!!! >_<" What must a lolita not do?
Stop reading Lolita Secrets. Even if you only read it and don't write secrets or comments, you still support this community because the secret-writers know, that everyone is reading it. And please also stop talking about this awful community on every meet-up, it is so annoying >_<

And also stop being angry because someone says that Lolita is a costume - seriously guys not everyone knows that Lolita fashion is even excisting!

74. "A lolita should be 'this'!" What do you think that should be?
A Lolita should do what she wants and should behave like she wants, but also respect other opinions and concrit. I think the hardest debate in Lolita is when it comes to oufits. Some people try something new and then other people say "Sorry but this isn't 100% Lolita". On the one side you should wear what you want, and if you think that your oufit is Lolita, then go ahead and wear it with proud. But also accept that others don't think the same like you.

75. Besides #73, is there anything you should definitely not do while wearing lolita?
Hmm most people would answer sports, but I think you can even do sports in brand clothes if you don't mind wearing bloomers as pants xD And you can make sports where you can wear fancy clothes, like Croquet or bicycling :)
But I think you should not try to wear Lolita on places where it is totally inappropriate.

76. What do you think of men in lolita?
If they wear Dandy/Kodona, I'm totally fine with it. But to be honest there are just a very few Brolitas (boys who wear dresses) who look good in their outfits. 99% of the Brolitas just look weird and creepy, because most of them wear Lolita as a costume anyway, and not as a fashion. I don't want to meet them or have contact to them, because I'm not sure if they really want to wear this fashion or do it just because they are weird. In my opinion, a Brolita who really wants to wear Lolita dresses as a fashion style, puts A LOT of effort in his outfit. He wears high-quality clothes and puts much time in his hair and make-up. This are the only ones I could trust but I never met a person like this before, I only saw picutres and TV interviews. One person you all know and who I actually find very pretty, is Mana-sama :)

77. Did you change yourself to be a lolita?
I didn't changed my personality just to become a Lolita. But of course my personality learned a bit from experiences while wearing Lolita :)
The only thing I changed was my body, I started a diet to loose weight, I wasn't fat but when I wanted to buy my first dress, I realized that I didn't fit into all dresses I liked. (The last months I gained everything back, but I'm currently making a diet again ^^)

78. What does your family and other people think of you dressing lolita? And do you accept it?
Haha nice question ;) My parents think on the one side that it is cute and pretty, but on the other side they ask me "Why do you want to wear that outside the house?" xD
All the friends who don't wear Lolita also don't know that I do it, because I just preferred not to tell them. Maybe they saw a picture of me somewhere but I usually don't tell them. But to be honest, I found so many friends through Lolita fashion that now most of my friends are Lolitas anyway xD

79. How do you wear lolita in the boiling mid-summer?
Usually if it is really hot I just don't wear Lolita, but since some conventions are in the middle of the summer, and since I hate it NOT to wear something fancy to a convention, I was really that crazy to wear Lolita at 30°C!
I wear an OP or a JSK with a T-shirt (not a blouse because I think the fabric of a T-shirt is more sweat-friendly and also more comfortable).
Then I wear no petticoat or a light petticoat, and short socks. I also don't put on much make-up and don't wear much jewellery. Also a wig is a really bad idea, it is better to make a hairstyle where you pin up your hair.

Here two outfits:

You can see in my face how hot it was
and I even was so crazy to wear tights xD

80. Have you gone to school or work in lolita?
No, I think my Sweet Lolita style is not very comfortable for everyday life, and I think also not appropriate for Unisversity. If I would study Fashion Design, then I would do it, but otherwise no ^^'
But this doesn't mean that I wear lazy ugly clothing in everyday life. I wear pretty fancy clothes, I even got asked several times if I go to a special event or to a party, but it's just not Lolita :)
