100 Lolita Questionnaire: 1 - 10

So guys, I don't have that much to blog at the moment, so I want to start the 100 Lolita Questionnaire, many interesting questions about everything.

I found it at Quini's blog

1. Name or Nickname and birth date:
Miuko, at the end of beautiful May~

2. Height, weight, clothing size, and shoe size?
Hehe a girl never tells her secrets... well I do anyway xD
165cm, 62kg, M, 39.5 Europe/ 25.5 Japanese

3. Why did you start to dress lolita?
I fell in love with the clothing because I always was a princess inside, you could see it at my room and my stuff, but not on my clothes and with Lolita I finally found the clothing I wanted forever! But funny enough that today after 4 years of admiration I still don't wear Lolita everyday, only when I meet other Loli-friends at weekends...

4. Which style of lolita do you like?
Sweet, OTT, Country - also Classic and white EGL but I've never worn this two styles before.

5. Describe your dream coordinate.
I have many dream coordinates but at the moment, I'm planning the perfect strawberry outfit of my life!
Very bad Polyvore picture, I used Pv for the first time O_O

6. Do you have piercings? Where?
I don't want any piercings ever ^^'''

7. What are your favorites Lolita brands?
♥Angelic Pretty♥ and Btssb

8. What is your favorite clothing piece?
My Princess Tiered OP by Angelic Pretty ♥

9. How many lolita friends do you have?
I don't want to say many but I know several girls of which I'm very happy to know them, and which I can always ask for a meet. A few of them also became real friends even if some of them live 2-3hours away from me ;_;

10. What do you like the most in Lolita?
That I can look and feel like a princess and doll when I'm wearing the clothes, and that I can have a wonderful day with other Lolitas even if the only similarity is our fashion.

I have won :D

I now I now, the title is a bit selfish but the truth is I had much luck the last 2 days :D
First, Ami and me won 1st place at the Dunkelsüß photo contest! The contest was about Easter pictures, but you couldn't win a real price... the three winning pictures are staying as the community headers for 1 week. In my eyes they could stay longer, not because I want to see myself all the time, but because they are more colorful and not so boring black-grey-brown-ish like the old header xD

The second thing is, that I won a ticket for the AP Tea Party in Paris!!! I am sooo happy, because I wanted to go to Paris for the last 2 years, but I didn't had the chance until now, and that I won a ticket for the Party makes the trip even more special for me ♥
I'm hoping that also Maki and Asuka join the Tea Party, because the AP Shop in Paris didn't anounced them yet...

Also good news, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is coming to the Japan Expo in Paris! I love her so much, she has a great style and sooo cute songs xD I don't understand most of the song texts because they are in japanese, but the english words are always the names of candy xD She will be singing and holding a fashion show!

I also need a giant tulle headbow like her and I'm thinking about wearing something Fairy Kei-ish to Japan Expo ^_^

The different styles of Sweet - OTT LOLITA

I want to start a new series: "The different styles of Sweet". For many people, Sweet Lolita is just every outfit with pastel colors, mainly pink, and cute accesoires. But as a big Sweet Lolita fan myself, I know that this style has many sub-styles to offer. Like Classic Lolita is influenced by Mori Girl or Dolly Kei, so is Sweet Lolita also influenced by other fashion styles. And in opposite to Classic Lolita, the Sweet style has it's own names for each direction ^_^

Of course you don't have to draw a line between the sub-styles, sometimes you even can't, but some people do and I want to help you to understand the differences. For me, it helps to create a good coordinated outfit if I can think of a particular sub-style while searching for accesoires, socks and so on.

My first style will be OTT-Lolita, the most used word to discribe an outfit which is not 'normal' Sweet Lolita.

OTT LOLITA

OTT Lolita is not based on other japanese fashion styles. Of course they use some elements from other fashions, but in general it's just a crazier version of Sweet Lolita.

Hair:
The hair is usually voluminous and/or in unusual colors. Curly fluffy pigtails with long hair is the most favourite hair style. The hair color can be everything, from blond and black to pastel colors to vibrant blue. Also mulitcolored hair is common. It's important that the hair color matches the outfit. To achieve this look, 99% of the OTT Lolitas wear wigs or half wigs.

Accessoires:
Even if OTT means 'over the top' aka 'too much', OTT Lolitas don't overfill their outfits with accesoires like you do in Decora Fashion. OTT Lolitas just use many accesoires to create a very detailed outfit.

OTT Lolitas love if everything matches together, that means if you are wearing a dress with pony print, you most likely also wear a pony bag, pony necklace, pony socks...It cost a lot of time to collect all the matching accessoires, so it's like the cream of the top if you can wear them alltogether.

Prints:
Print dresses are most used, because they give the outfit easily this busy, detailed 'over the top'-look. Also, the outfits are usually build around their print. But it is also possible to wear one-colored dresses and create the OTT-look through your hairstyle and accesoires.

Other Typical Elements:
These elements are not used by everyone and all at one time, but that are elements which are not used often in the other Lolita styles except Sweet Lolita.
~ leg warmers
~ two different colored shoes
~ shaped bags like strawberries, tea cups, shooting stars
~ plush bags like ponies, bears, bunnys
~ bunny ears, bear ears
~ hats with special shapes, like fur hats with bunny or bear ears, Hello Kitty hats, cake mini-hats etc.

Japan-Day

On Saturday was the Japan-Day in Düsseldorf! I was soo excited and it was a wonderful day! We were a group of more or less 10 people (well, we often split into smaller groups and met again, because on J-Day, over 1 million visitors came to the city, and you want to meet all your friends, so it is hard to stay in a large group xD)
On J-Day, you can spend the whole day just going from one end of the festival to the other. Usually you just need 30min for this distance but on J-Day, you need hours, because every 2 seconds someone wants to fotograph you, or you see a friend and want to say Hello xD But I see J-Day as a big oppurtunity to show the 'normal' people how we look and how we enjoy our love for japanese fashion, culture and so on, so of course I'm wearing my finest clothes for this day and I'm happy about every fotographer :D

I wore my favourite dress! I think it doesn't fit me in the best way, because it is totally short, has fullshirring and sits way over my natural waist, but I love the color and pattern, which fit good to my hair and skin color ^-^

Funny was, that I often oversleep (like you can read in my Dokomi report xD), but on this day I woke up so early that I also took the train 1 hour earlier then I wanted with my friends xD After one stop I recognized that I was too early, so I got off the train and ran home to pick up my umbrella, which I forgot the first time ^^'
And during the day, 2 girls came to our group and asked us, if our dresses were from Angelic Pretty! They really didn't look like they would wear such clothes, but they told us that they saw the AP shop in San Francisco and now they want to buy a dress too, but they couldn't find a shop in Germany (of course xD).

Dokomi - Sunday

The day started totally bad :( First, I overstlept. I wanted to wake up at 7 am, but I didn't heard my alarm clock (okay the truth is that I can turn it off while sleeping, and it happened that day...) so I woke up at 10 am because my friend called me that she is already at the train station. Of course I had to take the next train, but after I run the whole way to the station, I realized that I forgot my entrace ticket O_O So I had to go back and wait another hour. Finally I could drive to the Dokomi, but in the train I realized that I forgot my memory card for my cam >_< So I was really bored that day. This day we were only 3 people and not 7, and the two other friends wanted to help out at the Lolita booth, so I was more or less alone.
I persuaded Quini to play "Just Dance", because there was a booth where you could try out new games. It was sooo much fun, seriously, because I choosed the most stupid song of the game with an even more stupid dance xD
Then I went to the official Games-Room of the convention. They had an area called 'Retro-Arcade' -  you could play very old slot (Spielautomat) games. The problem was, that I didn't know any of the games, and when I asked the staff for a good game, he told me that he has over 2000... yeah... not very helpful xD So after choosing a game which was totally stupid in the end, I just watched the Tekken competition. It was much fun to watch, so I decided that I train with my Tekken game (could you believe that I have a playstation which I didn't use for ... a year??) and if they have a competition again next year, I want to participate xD

After all, I think I will spend more attention to the programm the next times I go to conventions. I think when you go a 2nd time to a convention, it is not as exciting as the first time, so you get faster bored with 'doing nothing' xD

My outfit:

This Saturday is Japan-Day... OMG I'm sooo excited!!! I don't know why, I just am... I really can't wait for it, but I have to do a lot until Saturday... I wanted to sew a bonnet, I think I told you 2 month ago about it? Well, I really hate sewing and it consumes SO. MUCH. TIME. that I have fear to die before I finished this stupid thing. Everything must be hand sewed (ok maybe not, but because I never sewed before with a machine, I don't know if this is possible xD), so it takes hours to sew a little part of it -.-

Dokomi - Saturday

Hello My princessly readers :D

Today was the first day of the german convention 'Dokomi' in Düsseldorf. I would really love to write a long post about today, but I can't. Because I just did NOTHING. I usually don't do anything at conventions, because I'm not into Anime and Manga and just go there to meet other Lolitas, but this time I even did less then usually xD

We drove to Düsseldorf with a group of 7 people (Nyanko, Loopy + 2 friends, Evangeline, Vicky and me). It was really funny, but at the convention we split into smaller groups. I met many people I know, but I just said Hello to them, because everybody wanted to meet everybody, so not much time xD
I decided to took pictures of every Lolita at the convention, but I realized that there were 99% Itas (maybe some of them where real Cosplayers, but since I don't know anything about Manga & Anime, I couldn't recognize them xD), so I gave up the search after 20 minutes.
After 3 hours I met May, and we were so bored that we drove to the J-Mile (a long street where many japanese shops and restaurants are). We took purikura and ate ice cream and Onigiri. After this short trip we drove back to the convention, to pick up our friends for going home. But since May wanted to stay longer, we attended the concert of 'Foocha'. Usually I don't like japanese-heavy-metal-music-something, but this band was very good, so I enjoyed the concert.

My outfit (sorry for the super bad light, I took them after I came home O_O):

And I bought a cute Bento Box and a rose corsage for a hand wrist. It will fit perfectly to my dress for the Japan Day next week!

Tomorrow is the 2nd day of the Dokomi. I'm already very excited but also very tired, because I had and have to stand up at 6 am .....

Thank you for reading!

New hair and random stuff

Hello!

Today I went to the hairdresser for a new haircut. I wanted to have bangs for the first time in my life :D
This is how I look now:
Photobucket

First, I wanted a stright pony like the typical Lolita look, but the hairdresser said that my type of haircut (sorry I just don't know the english word xD) is better for summer. Of course I could tell him that I still want a stright cut, but I think it's also nice to try out different styles and this one looks good on me :D

On Monday I also tried out a new hairstyle... I also don't know the english word, but in german it is 'kreppen'. Yeah I felt like a toddler or emo or something, but on the other side I really liked it because my hair was 3 times more voluminous *___* And 90% of the people on the streets have no sense for stylish looks, so at least I don't look worser then 90% of all other people xD
Here a picture of the madness:

Two weeks ago my friend Nyanko showed me the most awesome joghurt of the world. It has pony crisps in it xD But sadly, you could only buy the joghurt for 1 month :(

In my opinion they look more like sheeps, but sheeps are also very cute ^-^

And I got some new Lolita/J-Fashion/Kawaii stuff!
A mint colored dress ~ my new favourite color (after pink xD) ~ H&M ~ 25€

A present from my friend Jinli ♥

A present from my friend Nyanko ♥ ~ I looove HK ♥

Finally shoes which are not to small (all my other Lolita shoes are...)

A bubble gum machine necklace, isn't it awesome?? ~ Claire's ~ 7€

A rose shaped bag *_* ~ Bodyline ~ 5€

That's it for now, thank you for reading,
your Miuko~ ♥
